My wonderful husband surprised me with an early Christmas Gift, the LE Collection from Jeffree Star in the super sexy white packaging!
Can we take a minute, just a minute to absorb how classy and totally YASSS this LE packaging is? The packaging is exactly the same quality as the usual pink packaging but in a classy festive white. It still feels elegantly chunky and expensive but without breaking the bank. Ok minute taken, lets get onto the good stuff!
There are 5 shades in the LE range, which are as follows:
- Drug Lord
- Mistletoe
- Doll Parts
- Androgyny
- Hoe Hoe Hoe
Currently, the only shades left in stock are “Drug Lord” and “Mistletoe”. according to the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Instagram account, once the shades are gone, they are gone forever with no plans to restock (so this won’t be another (714) people!)
“Drug Lord”
This matte white liquid lipstick is the first of it’s kind! She’s very versatile. This product can be used as a mixing medium to lighten other liquid lip shades, can be used as liquid eyeliner (YES, it’s eye safe!), lip art, ombré’s or can be worn by itself.
So first up is “Drug Lord”, long have I lamented and yearned for a white liquid to matte lipstick, well finally my prayers were answered and my clipart rejoices. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, could a white lipstick really be truly opaque, BOOM! Blown away, coverage is perfect, product consistency is just right, stiff like the others in the range, and it blends like a dream.

“Mistletoe”
A true Christmas tree green matte! The perfect shade to stand out this holiday season.
Although this one is not really the kind of shade I would rock to work, I am certainly pleased with it. I foresee a number of clipart outings for this little beauty, or eyeliner. Coverage and pigmentation is great, no problems with smudging or wearing.

“Doll Parts”
This soft cool toned pink looks like Lindsay Lohan’s life in the movie Mean Girls.
“Stop trying to make fetch happen” like literally, this has not, uhm, left my lips, in like, forever…! Silliness aside, I have been wearing this nonstop to work this week and have had many compliments on it. This is my favourite out of the LE collection and I can not find fault with it. Today I applied it at 08:15 and removed it at 18:00. I did not touch up during the day and the ONLY hint of wear was a slight, and i mean slight, smudging where I had been drinking from my thermomug.

“Androgyny”
Be warned: this shade might be your new obsession ;) Sultry, plum mauve, matte and extremely addicting.
This is my second favourite of the lot and I have really been enjoying this shade. Pigmentation and wearability are on point again, seriously JS is hiring 4/5 right now. I am so impressed with this collection.

“Hoe, Hoe, Hoe”
The fierce red is gorgeous, deep toned and has hints of metallic red and purple through out.
This is the first non matte lipstick JSC has released. It is still matte in terms of the finish, but in terms of the shade, the inclusion on metallic shimmers stop it from being a truly matte matte. It is also, and I hate to say this, the first JSC product that I am disappointed in. When I initially got the package, like always I watched everything on the back of my hand with “Hoe, Hoe, Hoe” being the first I grabbed. I immediately noticed that this one is MUCH thinner than the other Velour Matte Liquids and the product began to feather right away. After 15 minutes, I nudged my hand against something and it smudged! That has NEVER happened to me before with a Jeffree Star product. Anyway, I threw it on my face to see how it held up there.
It did indeed feather (bleed into my skin) on my lips, though not as bad as on my hand. It took a lot longer to dry and it did smudge a few times, though on the plus side it wasn’t as drying as the others. Not much favourite from the collection, but you know 4 hits out of 5 is pretty good!

I am really behind on swatches, I have more JSC swatches coming up, my Instagram and snapchat (makeup-honey)are kept up to date with swatches and products but recently the blog has lagged behind, (sorry!) I will try to be better!
